A recent IBM bug report
(IC88812<http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IC88812&myns=swgimgmt&mynp=OCSSGU8G&mync=E>)
has identified a bug in the dbschema -c and dbschema -c -ns output (print
disk infrastructure commands to recreate the server). The description is:

The statements to recreate the dbspaces provided by storage space option of
dbschema are not in the right order.

Please note that until a fix is released, you can use the myschema
--infrastructure=sql or myschema --infrastructure=cmd feature to replace
these dbschema options. The current release of myschema implements this
feature not only for v11.70 but for all Informix releases going all the way
back to 7.31.

Myschema is contained in the package utils2_ak which you can download,
build, and use free from the IIUG Software Repository.

When is the brain-dead product management going to simply purchase
your utilities for inclusion with each release and pay you to maintain
them? They'd then have data migration tools that actually work.
Perhaps they're waiting for someone to inflate their crania and make
the suggestion. Lá.
