We run this system for 10 years without any problem.
But It got worse recently.
It had occured several time and show messages like this :
$ onstat -
Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.40.UC1 -- On-Line (CKPT REQ) Blocked:CKPT

All the clients can not work on the database .
It will be ok after I rebound the server.
And display :
Warning: checkpoint appears to be stalled and is not complete.

What happened with this ?
What should I do with it ?

Not enough information. The next time this happens, post the output from:

onstat -l
onstat -p
onstat -R
onstat -F

Also, you really should upgrade to version 11.70+

Did you check to see if perhaps all of your logs are full and need backing up. It's one of the things that will prevent your checkpoint from completing.
