Good day everyone!

Our company uses Informix 4GL for the in house system and it has been running for years. We are planning to improve and make it into a web based system. Is it better to migrate to other language and which one or stick to 4gl and use some tools for it and what?

Thanks for the response!

Depends on what your goal is. Do you just want it to look prettier? 4Js or Querix might be a good fit, because you can deploy on the web and still leverage your 4gl skills.

Hi Spokey!

Yes. One reason is to make if prettier but at the same time to cope up with the changes and improvement of the system.

We kept 4gl and migrated to FourJs (www.4js.com).   They do have a
browser based solution.   It's been a good fit for us and
we have been able to keep much of the same code base.
