Speeding Up Foreign Key Creation

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to make foreign key creations run faster for very large tables? We are migrating a large XPS database to IDS. The data loads, index and primary key creates are running fast, but the foreign key creation statements take forever on the large tables.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Sorry for leaving out the version. It is IDS11.70.FC5W1 on AIX 6.

Thanks.

Version? I seem to recall a product defect, but I _thought_ it had been patched.

How are you doing it?
If you're creating the indexes first and it's still too slow, I suggest you
open a PMR.
There is a known limitation (technically not a bug because it works as
design) which was hit by at least another customer. It's important to add
customer cases so that R&D can better understand the severity and maybe
change the priority...
I don't know the status, but I think it's scheduled for some future
version...

Technically there is a way around the problem, but it's not supported and
involves some risks... Do I would not consider it... Unless technical
support suggests it.
Regards.
